Attending the art gallery reception for The Art of Movement was an exciting experience! My family and I had a fantastic time, enjoying live violin music, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and wine.
Three of my Encaustic-based mixed-media pieces were chosen for The Arts Alpharetta Exhibition. A jury accepted all of the artwork I submitted, and I felt a sense of accomplishment and, in some ways, relief when my encaustic work was included in the art display.
Seeing many interpretations of "The Art of Movement" was inspiring. It featured many artists and created a sense of community for me.
Thanks to my husband, Greg, for making the custom Tiger Maple frames and my parents for the mats, which complement the artwork. I can't wait to visit the gallery in April and share this experience with more family and friends!
The smallest in size, but my favorite in the exhibit
"John Lennon Wall, Diveded". Photo I took in Prague of John Lennon wall printed on two canvas panels.
"Take me back". Photo encaustic also of Prague
"Delia". Abstract figurative sculpture in pink alabaster
